What it do? Welcome back to the 106 & Park of social media aka The SociaList! Sorry I’m late with this, I’ve literally spent the last three days on Tiktok studying the #BussItChallenge 😈 If you thought of 2020 was a doozy, 2021 just told us to hold its beer and then proceeded to hit us harder than a Twisted Tea! Now there won’t be a countdown this week because we already know what last weeks socials were dominated by, but before we get to the Capitol Crasher Crackers, let’s check out a few other posts that went under the radar.

So supposedly we’re gonna be in this pandemic until 2030 and from what I’ve heard Jeff Bezos has been pretty lonely since his divorce (allegedly) which has also spawned his newest idea. So now him and Tiktoker @blakehamilton54 have me anxiously awaiting the newest Alexa update!
CUSSING BABIES
Now here’s a lil cuteness overload for you. Thanks to some beautiful babies, Google translate, and a hilarious mother, this viral tiktok will probably make a great 18th birthday present! Plus it’s just something about the thought of babies cussing their ass off that entertains the hell out of me.

Alright let’s get to the good stuff. As you all know last week Tonald Drump had his crew of flunkies perform an attempted coup at our nations capitol in an attempt to interrupt the counting of the electoral votes, confirming Joe Biden as our next president. Now obviously this was a very serious situation and I’m sure for those involved on the other end it was a scary one as well, as it led to multiple deaths (RIP to the fallen officers protecting) But somehow as black people we’re able to internalize trauma and laugh it off, and and that’s exactly what #BlackTwitter did on January 6th 2021. So here’s a few of the best tweets/videos/and moments from them plus more!
RIOT LOVE
From posing in selfies to casually opening up the floodgates, it wasn’t hard to see that the rioters and some of the police officers were fighting the same fight, and @naacpyoungboy accurately depicts their loving relationship. Let’s just hope they’ll be butt buddies together in the same prison.

We watched the videos and saw the interviews, now as @_teeeemula pointed out we’re gonna have to make sure McGraw-Hill don’t try and Christopher Columbus-ize these historical events.

FED UP IN DC
This one is one of my favorites, Norwegian journalist Veronica Westhrin captured some authentic thoughts from citizens in the DC area. It’s always fun hearing a white man call another white person a cracker, and the crack in his voice on that last “fuck” is sending me 🤣 But in all honesty gotta feel for DC and everything they’ve went through this past year, but in true viral fashion they took to Drumps favorite social media app Tiktok and capitalized on their newfound fame and friendship.

After all of this craziness finished taking place, @_lexusnicole made the most accurate comparison of Drumps years as president of the United States. Drump and his hyenas literally have people out here starving and have places burnt down and ransacked. Not to mention, ironically Drump and Scar have the same orangish tint as well.

Now of course there were some heroic officers there that day (Eugene Goodman) and this photo that was captured is pure renaissance quality art!
